The Deyi Sultanate of Jazur is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Sultan Llamu ibn Rama Al Deyi with an iron fist, and notable for its strictly enforced bedtime, suspicion of poets, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 4.131 billion Jazuris are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The government — a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized morass — juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Environment. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Asumelí. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 92.3%.

The all-consuming Jazuri economy, worth 399 trillion rupees a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, highly specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Beef-Based Agriculture, Basket Weaving, and Cheese Exports. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 96,786 rupees, with the richest citizens earning 5.6 times as much as the poorest.

Musicians are often arrested for saying "oh my God", it is believed that belligerence is a passing phase foreign leaders will soon outgrow, army doctors who come under attack defend themselves by using stethoscopes like nunchaku, and parties that are too noisy are broken up to prevent disturbing wildlife. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Jazur's national animal is the camel, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Islam.

Jazur is ranked 17,804th in the world and 98th in Refugia for Most Advanced Public Education, scoring 8,515.87 on the Edu-tellignce® Test Score.
