Republic of Estandé (1927 - 1975)

The Republic of Estandé, commonly called the First Republic of Estandé or simply the 'First Republic', was the successor state to the Kingdom of Estandé. It replaced it after the December Revolution, which replaced the constitutional monarchy into a full-blown republic, albeit a socialist one. The followers of the PTE, led by Augusto Batista, deposed the king who still had some power in the government. He then dissolved the monarchist Imperial Legislature with the socialist Peoples' Assembly. The young country was plagued with political rivalries, the ruling Partido dos Trabalhadores Estandénses (PTE) often clashed with the conservative Partido Honorista de Estandé (PHE) to prove which ideology was superior, communism or honourism. These clashes were very violent; socialist forces against honourist forces, it was pretty common to see both of the parties fighting in the streets. At the time, the police force was still very much recovering from the recent revolution, but when they recovered in 1930, they ended the 3-year long war between both parties.

The President of Estandé was an appointed position and exercised certain limited powers that were closely watched by the Prime Minister of Estandé, the president mostly acted as the representative of the Estandér state. The Prime Minister of Estandé, on the other hand, had most of the power, being the head of government. He had the power to declare war on nations, proposed laws, and could even remove the president from his position - this never happened, as it was heavily frowned upon.

The overseas territories of Valância and Barceras were given plenty of autonomy, and even had their own government, although, it answered to the mainland government. The islands were very conservative and hated the socialist system of government. So, as compensation, the islands were allowed to practice their own ideology. Various right-wing ideologies came and went, with the Honorist Party having a large foothold in the region. The two islands became very independent, and even had their own military, albeit very small; either way, the islands could've easily become independent, but most didn't support this notion and preferred to stay in the nation.

Following Augusto Batista's victory over the monarchists, he created the office of Prime Minister and President, from which he became Prime Minister through an election. He appointed his friend, Danilo Salazar, as the first president. Under Batista, the nation underwent various social and political reforms, such as women being able to vote, a minimum wage law, and a new centralised government. Mass-housing was introduced and the government built many apartments in the suburbs of various cities. Infrastructure and transportation were also improved, new roads were constructed and more railroads were built. Batista strengthened relations between the Republic of San Sierra and the Republic of Estandé, as the relations were severed following the Shavaran Revolution. In 1941, Batista was given the eastern lands of the Tósares region, which was heavily populated by Estandér-speaking peoples, who were also culturally Estandér.

He was succeeded by Julio de Aguilar, a prudent man that established a free healthcare system in return for higher taxation. Lands formerly owned by the former nobility were given to the public, and in its place, more settlements emerged. During his term, the islands of Valência and Barceras had various violent protests orchestrated by right-wing parties, in retaliation, Aguilar increased the presence of Estandér soldiers in the two islands. This led to the creation of a united, far-right, secessionist organisation called the Valêncian Freedom Front which clashed with the government forces. This event was called the 'Tempos Sombrios' or the 'Dark Times', it lasted from 1942 to 1955.

In 1949, Aleixo Rodrigues was elected Prime Minister, during his administration the nation witnessed massive militarisation. He introduced conscription for men aged 21, most who joined lived in poverty; the soldiers were promised free education, which was very sought after. Soldiers were also given free food and shelter. He defeated the Valêncian Freedom Front in 1955, bringing an end to the 'Tempos Sombrios'. His administration ended in 1956.

In 1956, Raul de Nevés was elected Prime Minister.
When he was incumbent prime minister, he abolished the National Healthcare Service and the welfare programs carried out by Batista, and instead gave the funds to the military. The people were understandably angry, and a protest in the city of Santiago occurred. The protest was met with violent retaliation from the government, soldiers used live ammunition and tanks were even deployed, although, the tanks never fired a shot. About 71 protestors were killed by the soldiers, and the abrupt shooting caused massive panic in the crowd, people trampled other people and 156 were either killed by the trampling or were injured. A total of 92 protestors were killed. The violent response was criticised by many, and most saw its similarities between the October Massacre and this event; soldiers firing upon peaceful protestors.

De Nevés ruled for over a decade and committed more atrocities the following years. He died due to a heart attack in 1971. In 1971, a new prime minister was elected, Tristão Pires. Prime Minister Pires spoke of the atrocities de Nevés and the government undertook and proposed the reformation of the economy and government, most of the population supported him but the government didn't. Pires continued pushing reforms but only minor reforms, such as modernising the healthcare system and repairing and establishing infrastructure. Pires himself was not a part of the PTE party and was disliked by most in the government. Finally, Pires was able to establish a referendum but without government permission. The referendum was about the reforming of the government and the economy, the populace voted 'Yes' but as soon as the government noticed, they removed Pires and his president from their offices. The people were understandably irritated.

Pires became more radical and demanded that the Peoples' Assembly dissolve the totalitarian ideas, but they ignored his pleas and voted Frederico da Gama as the new prime minister. The Peoples' Assembly held an election but it was not democratic, the opposite of democratic. As soon as da Gama was given the mantle of the prime minister, the people revolted with Pires as their leader, some soldiers also defected. A civil war was on the horizon.

As a sign of rebellion, Pires' army burned the communist flags and the national flag, which caused the Republican Armed Forces to dispatch a small army led by General Mascarenhas to quell their rebellion. The following battle was the first and bloodiest battle during the Estandér Civil War. The partisans won but with casualties in the hundreds, while the soldiers only suffered minimal casualties. Mascarenhas was captured and joined the rebel cause, along with his soldiers. As time progressed, more partisans and soldiers defected to the rebel side and the rebels would overpower the socialists due to their larger numbers. The Civil War ended on January 14, 1975, with the toppling of the socialist government and the subsequent destruction of the Republican Army. High-ranking socialist politicians were captured and executed. About 1,020,000 people died, either from the war itself, starvation, or disease. To this day, the atrocities of the Estandér Civil War is embedded in everybody's mind.

Kingdom of Estandé

The Kingdom of Estandé, officially the Kingdom of Estandé-Abrasendé was a monarchy in Nonscio that ruled from April 7, 1711, to December 5, 1927, following the December Revolution by the socialist Partido dos Trabalhadores Estandénses (PTE). It held territories in the islands of Valência and Barceras in Araseos, and the colony of Batogasão/Batogazão in Usnistan, now modern day Battawa. The kingdom encompassed most of modern Estandé, save for the northwestern region of Tósares, which was owned by the Volinovians. Unlike Hispania, Estandé only had three colonies, as the nation had a coast to the south which was minuscule. The two islands of Valência, Barceras, the island of Anolas (an island north of Estandé), and Batogazão - or Estandér West Usnistan - were the only overseas territories the kingdom ever had and the Estandér language was not as widespread as its Hispanic counterpart.

The kingdom was formed when the states of the Duchy of Estandé and the County of Abrasendé unified after Ambrósio married the Abrasendér count's daughter. Her wife was but a political tool to acquire Abrasendé, although, as time progressed Ambrósio became more attached to Maria, her wife, and began to see her as a soulmate rather than a tool. The county was slowly embracing the Estandér culture and in 1922, the culture in the kingdom was dominated by the Estandér culture. Ambrósio died on January 1, 1739, and was succeeded by Ambrósio II, who strengthened relations with the Second Dynasty of the Hispanic Empire.

In 1784, the Hispanic Empire was given to the House of Toda, after years of competition with the Second Dynasty. This subsequently created the Third Dynasty of the Hispanic Empire. King Mateus II, the current king of Estandé didn't have the best relationship with the dynasty, as he believed they were usurpers. The soldiers protecting the border between the Hispanic Empire and the kingdom were reinforced with more troops and forts were constructed along the border, as per the king's orders. He was naturally called "Mateus the Paranoid" by the people and some of the nobility. He put his son, the Prince of Abrasendé, in command of the large garrison. Mateus II died on March 11, 1801, and was succeeded by his son, Manuel I; who tried his best to befriend the empire, who was close to its zenith. It worked, and most of the troops along the border were recalled.

A narrow corridor of land south of Estandé was given by the Hispanic Empire in 1888 but was to be given up 30 years later. The current king, Ambrósio III, immediately agreed to the proposal; there Ambrósio III, sent colonists from the Exteriorem Empressa Comercial company to Araseos, hoping to claim any land they could. Then, the explorer, Benedito Valentina, 'discovered' the islands of Valência and Barceras and settled there along with 100 colonists. A word was sent to the king about the finding, and immediately sent droves of people and soldiers to the islands. Then, Batogazão was discovered by Exteriorem Empressa Comercial, and countless more droves of people and a handful of soldiers were sent to the colony, it became the crown jewel of the Kingdom later on. 30 years later, the corridor of land was given back to the Hispanic Empire. This almost completely severed communication between the mainland and the colonies, but the Hispanic were quite sympathetic and allowed limited travel between the two; limited as in only messengers and politicians were allowed to enter in and out. The islands gradually developed their own culture, a mix of Estandér culture and Germanic culture. While at Batogazão, Estandér supremacy remained vehemently strong. As time progressed, the two islands became more and more self-sufficient and independent.

In 1902, Manuel III gradually abolished the age-old serf and feudal system. Although in the late 18th century, Ambrósio III tried to abolish the two, he was fearful that the nobility and rich aristocracy would depose him. Manuel III suppressed nobles and people of the upper class that dared oppose him. He also abolished the Absolutist nature of the monarchy and turned it into a constitutional one instead. He chose the Duke of Almeida, Caio de Caetano-Troia as the first Prime Minister. Manuel III was assassinated in 1920 after visiting the capital city of Éstrada. He was succeeded by his son, Pedro. In 1921, the people in Valência and Barceras demanded more autonomy, which was accepted by King Pedro, as the mainland government already had little power in the islands. The political party, Partido dos Trabalhadores Estandénses (PTE), gained notoriety in 1924, they were socialist and spoke of the abolition of private property and free food.

The party gained many supporters, as the many former serfs and peasants were still recovering from the recent abolition of serfdom and feudalism. On October 30, 1925, supporters of the party and members of it gathered in Balás, where they protested peacefully. They were met with the rifles of the Estandér military and shot down, the action was ordered by the current Prime Minister, Francisco de Mendes. The horrific nature of the event left a bitter taste in the tongues of many Estandér people, poor or not. On December 25, 1926, members of the PTE stormed the barracks at Rineo and acquired many rifles. The armed PTE troops marched to the city of Secunda, where they stormed its barracks and gained a large stockpile of ammunition and rifles. The leader of the party, Augusto Batista, told the poor to arm themselves and combat their Imperialist overlords, and they listened.

On March 7, 1927, the 31,300-strong army marched to the city of Éstrada and was met with heavy resistance. They broke through the resistance but lost 8,000 men. Then the peasant army met the 7th and 1st Infantry Battalions, with whom they clashed fiercely. 18,000 soldiers of the PTE were killed, but their high morale managed to guide them and defeat the two battalions. Then they arrived at the palace at Éstrada, where King Pedro, at the age of 27, was killed by socialist forces storming in the palace.

On December 5, 1927, the Kingdom of Estandé finally died and was replaced by a socialist republic led by Augusto Batista; the first prime minister of the First Republic of Estandé. The royal family was exiled to Salario in Garzago, but escaped through Hispania and took a boat to Barceras and then Batogazão, where they ruled the colony for another couple of decades. When Batista heard of the escape, he pardoned them and let them keep most of their valuables, but were stripped of their titles.

Summary
Huomio (styled Huomio!) is a social media service created by Kristjin Kevalich, Andreuz Wadalaiy and Faloe Mirosako of Pantheon Inc. In this app, you can share and react to different videos online. Announcement of the app came in on May 4th, 2006. Beta testing started September 3rd, 2007 (beta testing was originally gonna be on August 3rd, but the Great Matchaiwan Conflict was occurring, and the fighting came to their area). The app was fully released on March 18th, 2008, just in time for Innovation Day. Since then, over 150 million people have been using the app, and it is considered one of the best apps in Treciene.

Huomio is the Finnish word for Attention, in which the app alerts you of news and briefings every day. You can follow people, make friends and play games to create progress. The name Huomio came from Kevalich, who was of Finnish Heritage. The app's quote is "Connecting Everyone to Create Anything", which implies that the app should attract people to post and get popular while inspiring people to get popular, in which they also inspire people to get popular, and so on. The headquarters of Huomio is in Crowntelevon, the capital of Treciene. Sadly, Pantheon Inc. filed for Chapter 10 Bankruptcy on February 19, 2014 after some controversy in the app. Despite This, Kevalich, Wadalaiy and Mirosako created a new corporation, Entryville, and this started the golden age for Huomio. Huomio still thrives today.

In 2020, Huomio was made available to the citizens of Badjurstan, After this, the Badjur language site Lingo-Lango had partnered with Huomio, so new Badjur language lessons can be learned. SCP Faudation uses the service, and strives to own the company. Americaaaa also uses the service. Sadly, Huomio is banned in many countries, like New Ryansville and Greater Northern Pokemon Reich.

Patrolling the Pacáliers (Piscary)

---
September 22, 2030; 5:40 AM

---
Ever since the 2027 Estandér elections, President Cuimbro promised an end to the widespread piracy in the Pacáliers Sea, which was the main reason why he was elected. His promises were not yet fulfilled, even 3 years later. Many people from the port cities of Cristóbal de Algaré and Balás are starting to dislike the president, as their fishing boats and ships were being raided by pirates, to an extent that sailing in the Southern Pacáliers was a death wish. Then again, no president from the Second Republic never fulfilled any of their promises.

Coimbra's popularity worsened as, on July 7, a band of pirates boarded a fishing ship and slaughtered everyone on the vessel; they knew about it since the pirates recorded it and sent the video to the Estandér masses, the sheer violence shown in the footage was enough to make the strongest of stomachs vomit. The absence of the coastguard was the reason for the presence of the pirates, as, without armed forces in the Pacáliers, fishing vessels and yachts alike were easy prey for the pirates.

Finally, on September 20, Cuimbro announced that all coastguard vessels would patrol the Pacáliers and not the rivers that run through the nation. The Anti-Piracy for the Pacáliers Program (APPP) was established, a program where the coastguard was to be re-armed once more and, hopefully, temporarily clear the south Pacáliers of piracy.

The program officially began on September 22 at 5:40 in the morning. After the coastguard was given assault rifles and better equipment by the government, they were sent out to the Pacáliers to hunt the pirate scum. Three fleets, made out of small vessels and boats, left the foggy ports of Cristóbal de Algaré to the warm waters of the Piscary. A beautiful sea, and yet filled with lowlife scum.

There was little initial success, as they soon learned that pirates were not attracted to armed, government forces. So, they developed some tactics to trick pirates. At night they would send a seemingly-innocent civilian vessel to the sea alone, what the pirates didn't know was that armed Marines were aboard the vessel.

Yachts with no people inside them were also deployed, and when pirates were attracted to them they'd immediately go, hoping to acquire easy money. When they realised the yacht was in fact a ruse, government forces would already arrive at the location before they could react.

TEP MoWAA on Condemn Ever-Wandering Souls

by Wa development program of tep

Security Council: Condemn Ever-Wandering Souls

The new motion to Condemn Ever-Wandering Souls weaves an epic tapestry from the many stories featuring the nominee. Over the course of several years, Ever-Wandering Souls served in and supported multiple armies in sowing chaos and destruction upon the international community. The nominee championed the conquest and obliteration of numerous high-profile regions. All of these acts, explained well in the resolution text, convince this ministry to recommend a vote for the condemnation.

Condemn Ever-Wandering Souls

A resolution to strike down Delegate-imposed barriers to free entry in a region.

The Security Council;

Recalling that Ever-Wandering Souls (Also referred to as Souls) entered into the scene of regional warfare in the beginning of 2014, succumbing to the allure of glory and third-way virtue that was promised during the founding of The Eternal Knights.

Lamenting that, though The Eternal Knights were a shambles of strategic blunders, Souls' monumental work in recruitment, training, and foreign relations was surely all that held the organisation together. Such efforts delayed The Eternal Knights' demise beyond all of the Security Council's hopes.

Distressed by Souls' leadership over the Sicarius assassins as a member of the Dominus Sicarii, overseeing the attacks on over two hundred thirty regions, orchestrated without the aid of advanced technological resources, yet with no discernible handicap in frequency or ferocity. Included among the attacks:

  • The malicious interception of Tofuline's refounding, thereby displacing over one hundred eighty nations from their chosen homeland,

  • Military support of The Black Hawks's invasion of Canada, which ended that government's two-year reign while razing embassies with some of the greatest powers known at the time, and

  • The invasion of Islam, where Westerly winds, under the control of Souls, infiltrated and seized the delegacy, ejecting nations over the span of a month from which the region never recovered.

Loathing Souls' migration to The Black Hawks in November of 2014, thereafter rapidly ascending its ranks to become a full member of their notorious leadership, The Council of Hawks, by July of the following year.

Noting that The Black Hawks, already once condemned, suffered an incredible second condemnation under Souls' leadership in March of 2017, three months after having been raised to the rank of General. As such a rank signifies the embodiment of The Black Hawks' ideals, may it be presumed that such ideals are portrayed by Souls' reprehensible history spearheading their conquests.

  • The North American Union, brutally attacked solely for its association to past defenders,

  • The Nations of Intelligence, assaulted for its acronym's unfortunate ability to suggest an entirely different organisation,

  • Global Federation, invaded to upend the homes of some of the world's most prominent writers and spokespeople at the time, and

  • The United Federation of Planets, clearly designed to demoralise the world's peacekeeping forces through that operation's success, despite its overt and conspicuous tactics.

Iterating that The Black Riders, who twice achieved censure in this chamber for their acts of ultraviolence, became exposed to counterattack when the Black riders commander was disassociated from known reality in early 2015. Although a coalition of disenfranchised natives captured and attempted to reform the region into a peaceful society, such attempts were ultimately undone by Souls' employment of Harenhime, which infiltrated the new government and sabotaged its designs, recapturing the region for raider causes once again, and denying The Black Riders any chance at salvation.

Anguished by the destruction of Heroes Rise, a consequential member of the military alliance ORCA, reduced to an empty wasteland in 2016 by Souls' command over The Black Hawks' own coalition, consisting of eighteen armies across seven realms. ORCA was forever stained by this invasion, as it demonstrated it was unable to protect its own members, leading to its disintegration entirely.

Decrying that in the ruthless pursuit of regional destruction, Souls has purged other lands of their native inhabitants on a scale that far exceeds the intervention capabilities of the Security Council. The arrogance of this nation's government extends even to its long tradition of concocting battlefield reports of such atrocities in blisteringly theatrical styles, as if to captivate victims with the fanciful tales of their own demise.

However disavowing that Souls made a mockery of this esteemed body in March of 2018, as its control over Harenhime drove that nation to try confusing World Assembly members with a circular-logic based condemnation. Even then, that resolution was merely meant to serve as distraction, while Harenhime brutally decimated the native peoples of Iran.

Resolving that so long as Souls operates with impunity, the natives of the world cannot know peace within their own homes, for the actions taken by this nation have left a trail of deceit and destruction, well beyond that which could ever be redeemed.

Hereby condemns Ever-Wandering Souls.
