can i be on the map? Color: Orange, Territory: Southern France

hi,its me The Fedral Republic of Diamondliska or ''Diamondliska''

It is a rather interesting voting result at present, for sure. Could anyone who voted "yes" expand a position here? Thank you :). I look forward to reading this.

I voted yes, from personal experience. I work as a civil engineer, I don't have my license yet, so I mostly do drafting of plans and design on the computer. I work mostly from 8:00 to 18:30 everyday except Friday and when there is a submittal, the hours can go into the midnight. I am very stable mentally, but even after two weeks of working non-stop, getting home to just sleep (mind you I have a son and a wife) it's excruciating. After the submittal I usually take a day or two, but in reality I wish I could take a week and not have it negatively impact my career or job. There was a week where my son didn't see me for three days. This is the mental health that is worth getting paid time off for. I am sure there are other cases too, like any issue it has its good and bad, its positives and negatives.

This will be short as I’m on my way out the door. I don’t see how the answer can be anything but yes, in the modern western world. Employers have a duty of care to employees who are suffering from mental health problems or addiction, with paid leave for at least a period of time. Unions negotiate such protection, but some employers provide it without the need to be asked.

The onus is perhaps on those who voted no to explain themselves. 🙂

thanks!

Thanks for the recent time spent by Telgan and MountAye for speaking on the side of diligence of international research, studiousness of world history, and patience for those.......... less inclined to have an open mind.

Galaad said, "Did i say anything that is not in the evening news, every day? No!".
Now we are up to date on the opinions of people that only watch Russian state run media. I am sure every thing was repeated just as they put it........ every day, again and again and again.

I now see the issue here. The wording of the question is problematic. If we say excuse as rationale, then then the answer of "yes" makes sense. My bad. I think my response from before speaks for itself :).

Based on the inital answers amd consensus of reading of the meaning I will chnahe my answer which draws on the same meaning.

Yeah I couldn't tell if you meant "as is" or "should be"

I agree with your comments a couple of days ago. As you suggest, there has been misunderstanding in the wording of the poll question.

Odd timing, but I got an issue about several workers being killed in a bridge collapsing, right after that bridge in Baltimore goes down lol.

Ethical Question

1. If you are a single person who does not have a single penny, you are in your 30s and the environment and dogma or doctrine you believe have forced you to marry, what would you do?

2. You are one of the Parliment member. One time parliament experienced a very hot debate there were 2 sides, namely:

A. Radical: In order to create a better new generation and reduce overpopulation we should forbid lazy, unemployed, and criminals not to get married and they will be sterilised.

B. Moderate: It's inhumane and violates human rights!!!

You are the decisive voice for this issue. Which side are you on?

It was a mathematical impossibility for life not to happen.
Meaning is what you determine from moment to moment.
As life, your calling is to pass as much as your genetic material around in order to continue life.

You are also human, so have a choice: either be as the animals and live, reproduce, and die without meaning.....
.....or sink in to the people pit that is equal parts hope and despair. Try to care, think, and plan for a future of humanity......... and find meaning.

To add, try to be the best human you can be, live to the fullest, be kind..... all that bs

Post script: try not to go too insane

But if the path you choose is full of failures what will you do?

1. How strong is this force? If it's just a little awkwardness then who cares; if it's strong as law, why does it not force me to have the money to support a family -- aha we have the next question.

2. This is basically Eugenics [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugenics], a core value of Nazi. Such interference of civil rights should not be authorized to the government by the constitution. If this has become a topic, then the whole nation is already doomed, no need to further discussion. Besides, it's unrealistic to assume such a regime still has a functional parliament, or I misunderstand "you are the decisive voice for this issue", mein Fürher~

So long as we don't live in a society of question 2, failures are just fine~

Many options...
...
I might redefine what I consider "failure".
Failure, as success, is a mindset. Perception is a essential factor in even considering whether any thing is a problem or important at all. One could reflect upon any given situation and find flaws, opportunities missed, emphases not put......... perfection not reached. But come now, who of us is omnipotent?
...
Trying again is always there. In any legit science, if one does not reach the desired outcome (that is even potentially unknown), no despair is felt, the formula is changed in order to try again. Getting closer with every attempt, the lessons are learned, with notes taken continuously for memory, and they come out stronger than before without yet attaining the goal. They never dwell upon the last test by neurotically trying only the same numbers indefinitely. Always alter approaches.
...
Maybe choosing impossible goals puts failure squarely in the path? This should be admitted to one's self, it is a difficult spiritual and logic battle.
...
On the path end, I find true amusement and some times hidden surprises by allowing the universe to guide me, so to speak. If you did this, you would not be choosing your path, hence, not failing. You could laugh at the face of destiny.
...
Then there is always the philosophy that failure is the best revenge. Have you heard this concept? It is freeing. Punks love it
